Hannah Tukker (Tucker)
19 MAR 1906
William was born on his family's farm (map of farm). William was the "black sheep" of the family, partially because of his distant relationship with his father George.
After William and Hannah's marriage in 1906, the couple moved to the larger 120-acre farm. Here he had some problems, and around 1915 ran off with housekeeper Susie Wassink, had a child (Heinie) with her, and later returned home again. About the same time they moved to a 140-acre farm in North Blendon (the southwest corner of Bauer Rd. and 64th St.), where William worked quite a bit with a threshing machine.
William served often on the area school board, and was also deacon in the church and Supervisor for Blendon Township. He was known as a smart, proud man, well-respected despite his problems. He died of a heart attack.
William is buried in Blendon Cemetery (O-43-2).
